Can I use Power banks to power small Grow lights
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.7 месяцев назад
In short, you can use the power banks to power small USB grow lights.. if the lights are equipped with a 24 hour timer. that function might not work. i found that if i set the light to turn off after 8 hours, it would do that but not turn on the next day for the next cycle. i would need to unplug the USB and reinsert it to turn on the light the following day (as long as the battery still has po...

    I live in an area that Tropical Hibiscus plants can only live during the summer and i dont have room to bring it in. My question is, does it really need pruned over a 3 - 4 month period. It gets a little over 3 feet tall

    Use pliers to hold the seed then grate or sand it gently, just enough to crack the shell with out damaging the seed.

    3:40 Do you have an update on the canopy control? A few years ago, I did a trial using them on raspberry sawfly. Wow!! I haven’t had that much damage since!! Maybe a few leaves get chewed on, but that is easily manageable. My crop of raspberries is fantastic now!! I will be trying it on the tarnished plant bug situation in my strawberries this year. Last year when I noticed the problem, we had forest fire evacuations that took priority over the garden. But this is the year!!🍓

    In Ireland our problem is overwatering from watching your American channels 😂😂 But in Ireland they probably only need watering once a week, with the feed. Even if it doesn’t get rained on in window boxes. 😅😅 ( unless of course we have a heatwave)

    A question I have that I've been unable to find an answer to, is about how far away is the smell noticeable? Like will my neighbors be upset with me, or can only smell within a distance, and roughly what is that distance?

    Bill everything is looking good. About your Japanese maple, I think there is a time you should not prune it but I don't remember when. About your rose, if you don't like it get rid of it. There are so many beautiful roses get one you like. Thanks for the video.

    • @PlantzNThings

      I think the best time to prune is late June through early August.. after the big flush of growth is finished in the spring.

    Enjoyed your backyard tour! I would prune off the lower branches of your Japanese maple but not the top of the larch, or at least wait and see how it develops! I totally thought that cat mint was a Hydrangea! Love the double file viburnum! It's going to look quite full in your yard in a few years with all your interesting shrubs and trees! I hope, you'll keep showing it to us!🌳🌲🌿🏵

      Thanks for the feedback 😃 I might have made some bad choices when planting such a monster viburnum.. lol. But time will tell.. that’s the fun of gardening.. if in time it gets too big I can trim it or remove it. However I don’t want to do either if I can help it.. I want to see that beautiful natural branching. My fully sun garden is turning into a shade garden faster than I anticipated..lol.

    Your backyard garden looks great Bill. I would prune the lower branches of your Japanese maple. It's a beautiful maple. My honeysuckle vine is also taking off given we are having above average rains in Kentucky. The main bonus I think of having the honeysuckle vine is all the hummingbirds they attract. Hope your Redbud recovers this year. Happy gardening, James

    Great tours as usual Bill. Glad to see you back uploading 😊! I would prune off the bottom branches on the Japanese maple but I wouldn't remove the top of that larch. It's beautiful. Not sure why it would revert near the top of the tree, usually the reversion happens on the rootstock. From the snippet in the video, the top looks kinda wavy so it may just be doing it's normal thing. Not too sure.

    • @PlantzNThings
      @PlantzNThings Месяц назад

      I agree... i would hate to prune the Larch.. it could be like the curly willow where it's more dramatic on younger plants.
